Dr. Sneddon is an Assistant Professor with dual appointments at the Diabetes Center and at the Broad Center of Regeneration Medicine and Stem Cell Research. She is also a faculty member of the Department of Anatomy. Dr. Sneddon has expertise in pancreatic beta cell biology and development, in human embryonic stem cell biology and differentiation to the beta cell lineage, and in genome‐wide approaches for studying transcriptomics. She will draw on this expertise as she helps lead work aimed at generating a detailed cellular and molecular atlas of the islet microenvironment in human T1D. She will help oversee all aspects of this project, including the overall design, analysis, and interpretation of the proposed experiments.
